UK MMSG Nottingham 2000
The meeting took place at the University of Nottingham, from Monday 11th to Friday 15th September 2000, as part of the UK Mathematics-in-Medicine Study Groups series.

Study Group Format
The format of the Study Group was based on that successfully developed in the Study Groups with Industry, to which problems are brought by industrial workers whose mathematical training varies widely. The problems to be brought were discussed with the organisers prior to the meeting to ensure that they are suitable for mathematical study. It is hoped that the resolution of many of the problems brought to the Study Groups will lead to journal publications and foster longer-term multi-disciplinary collaborations between mathematical and biomedical researchers.
